The largest population of Tuvans in Mongolia are the 1,500 Tsengel Tuvans, living in Tsengel Sum in Bayan Ulgii Aimag. Though other Tuvans live in Hovd aimag, primarily in Hovd City. As of the year 2000 there were 724 Tuvans in Hovd aimag, they accounted for 0.83% of the total aimag population.
