General Information: The three-story, mint green Tushig Hotel is Hovd's second newest hotel, established in July 2007. Though only a few minutes walk south of the main square, the Tushig isn't as noticeable as the other central hotels. But visitors who overlook the Tushig will be overlooking a very comfortable and affordable little hotel. There is a small cafe/bar on the first floor with prices that are comparable to others in Hovd. The hotel staff also offers a machine-wash laundry service for 500T per item of clothing. The hotel has 5 rooms and a total of 10 beds. The room breakdown is as follows:
Lux Room:
There is 1 Lux Room on the 3rd floor (room 301). The room has a decent-sized living room and bedroom separated by a bead curtain (the room only has one bed, but it is large) and costs 25,000T per night. The room has cable television, air conditioning, disposable toiletries, a mini-refrigerator stocked with items available for purchase, and also its own bathroom with year-round hot showers.
Half-Lux Room:
There is 1 Half-Lux Room on the 3rd floor (room 302) with 2 beds. This room costs 16,000T per bed, so a solo-traveler can ask for a bed in the Half-Lux Room and pay 16,000T for it, though it is possible that they could end up sharing the room that night with someone who paid for the second bed. The Half-Lux Room also has cable television, air conditioning, disposable toiletries, a stocked mini-fridge, and its own bathroom with year-round hot showers.
Simple Rooms:
There are 3 Simple Rooms on the 2nd floor, 2 of them are doubles (201 and 202), and the other is a triple (203). The cost for a bed in one of the Simple Rooms is 8,000T per bed, and there are no nicer Simple Rooms in town. There is no air-conditioning in these rooms, but they have nice bedding and cable TV's. The rooms do not have toilets in them, but they share a nearby bathroom that is kept clean. If a guest staying in one of the Simple Rooms wants to take a hot shower, they can be taken in a common shower room on the 1st floor for 1,000T. A sauna adjacent to the shower room should be ready in time for the summer tourist season.
