List of Guides and Translators in Hovd
Here is a list of tour guides and translators who have offered to submit their information to the GoHovd website. All of these guides attended a Peace Corps-led training seminar for tour guides in 2008. They also all live and work in Hovd City, it can be assumed that they are very familiar with the aimag center.
The information should be helpful in contacting local guides to decide which one is best for you, but GoHovd.com is not liable for your satisfaction with whichever guide you choose.

(1) Hovd soum is a small town 31 kilometers northwest of Hovd City (the aimag center), the soum has the largest concentration of Hovd aimag's Kazakh population.
(2) Owns and operates the Strawberry Ger Hostel during the summers in Hovd City.
(3) Owns and operates the famous Kazakh Embroidery Shop in Hovd City.
List of Drivers in Hovd
There is no shortage of drivers in Hovd who would be happy to drive you around on your travels, but the drivers included on this list have driven professionally for some of the NGO's operating in Hovd. The drivers do not speak English, so it would probably be helpful to have someone who can translate (see above for a list of people who would be happy to help) when you meet with a driver.
