Places to Stay
As the most-visited of Mongolia's western aimags, Hovd offers plenty of lodging options for tourists. There are six hotels in the aimag center, as well as a number of ger camps in and around the city. Follow the links for each hotel to view photos of the hotel and the rooms within, as well as current hotel room prices. For places to stay outside of the aimag center, go to the Soums page and click on the soum you're interested in visiting.
The information on this page is current as of May 14, 2009.

- Buyant Hotel (29) - aging but popular
- Tsambagarav Hotel (35) - brand-new and luxurious (by Hovd's standards)
- Tushig Hotel (25) - very cozy and a great value
- Myangan Ugalzat Hotel (36) - sprawling but harder-to-find
- Grand Hotel (28) - extremely basic but centrally located
- Hovd Hotel (11) - the city's namesake hotel.
Follow the links provided for more detailed information on each hotel.
Guesthouses
The (27) Big Family Guesthouse opened in Hovd on May 25, 2009. At last, visitors to Hovd can opt for a sociable "guesthouse" experience as an alternative to a stay in a hotel.
Ger Camps
One of Hovd City's main ger camps is the (42) Shuutiin Tokhoi Tourist Camp run by Hovd Guide, LLC, and is found about a fifteen minute drive north of town along the Buyant RIver. Also, during the summer months the (37) Strawberry Ger Hostel is located in the aimag center and offers convenient, affordable accommodation in traditional Mongolian gers.
