Places to Stay

As the most-visited of Mongolia's western aimags, Hovd offers plenty of lodging options for tourists. There are six hotels in the aimag center, as well as a number of ger camps in and around the city. Follow the links for each hotel to view photos of the hotel and the rooms within, as well as current hotel room prices. Guesthouses

The (27) Big Family Guesthouse opened in Hovd on May 25, 2009. At last, visitors to Hovd can opt for a sociable "guesthouse" experience as an alternative to a stay in a hotel.

Ger Camps

One of Hovd City's main ger camps is the (42) Shuutiin Tokhoi Tourist Camp run by Hovd Guide, LLC, and is found about a fifteen minute drive north of town along the Buyant RIver. Also, during the summer months the (37) Strawberry Ger Hostel is located in the aimag center and offers convenient, affordable accommodation in traditional Mongolian gers.
